• Solution I - Mayer’s Acid Alum Hematoxylin
• Solution II - Phloxine Solution 0.5%
• Solution III - Tartrazine Solution 2.5%

Suitable for the demonstration of intranuclear inclusion bodies of chickenpox, Herpes Zoster (shingles), and the intracytoplasmic Guarneri bodies of smallpox.

FOR IN VITRO DIAGNOSTIC USE ONLY.

RECOMMENDED PROCEDURE: Sol. I - 5 - 10 minutes. Blue in running water - 15 minutes. Sol. II - 30 min. Rinse briefly in distilled water. Differentiate in Sol. III until inclusion bodies stand out bright red on a yellow background. Dehydrate in 95% ethanol, absolute ethanol, and clear in xylene, 2 changes each.

RESULTS: Inclusion bodies - red; nuclei - blue; background - yellow.
